Thai Diner Lawrence was established in 2016 as a part of a long family tradition. Chef Ann Liberda, known fondly as Mama Ann, emigrated to the U.S. in 1975. Throughout the years, she worked at all your favorite Kansas City restaurants featuring Asian cuisines before opening Thai Place in Overland Park. This iconic restaurant was the first of many in a family owned local chain, and in 2016 her daughter brought Thai Diner to Lawrence, where Mama Ann now cooks.
